Purpose
MyVPNCheck exists to answer a simple question: what does my connection reveal to a website?
VPN marketing makes big promises — "military-grade encryption," "zero logs," "total anonymity." But from a website's perspective, all that matters is the IP address your browser presents and the metadata that comes with it. MyVPNCheck shows you exactly that, honestly and without exaggeration.
We built this because existing tools either scare users with fake "leak" warnings, oversimplify with green checkmarks, or require technical knowledge to interpret. We wanted a tool that:

Explains what each result means and what it doesn't prove
Works in any browser, no installation, no account
Respects privacy by default — no tracking, no storage

No deceptive warnings, scare tactics, fake security scores, or upsells. The core diagnostic will always be free.
Fast first result
Useful information appears immediately. Long-running tests are cancellable. No artificial delays.
Explain the evidence
Distinguish observed facts, inference, and unknowns. Every result includes a limitation statement.
Privacy by default
No account, no saved history, no analytics unless explicitly enabled. Results stay in your browser.
Search intent first
Each tool page provides a working tool or meaningful original guidance — not keyword-stuffed filler.

What We Don't Claim
To be clear, MyVPNCheck does not claim to:
Provide a VPN tunnel, proxy service, or kill switch
Install certificates, profiles, extensions, or system VPN settings
Identify your precise physical location via GPS
Identify with certainty your VPN provider or exact tunnel protocol
Test every app's routing, a VPN provider's internal logs, encryption implementation, or whole-device kill switch
Offer user accounts, cloud-synced history, payment system, subscription billing, or a native mobile app (for now)
Scan arbitrary user-provided hosts/URLs or perform port scanning
We are a diagnostic website — we show what your browser reveals to us. That's it.
Independence
MyVPNCheck is an independent diagnostic tool. We are not affiliated with any VPN provider. We do not receive commissions, referral fees, or payments from VPN companies.
If we ever add affiliate links or commercial relationships (after traffic and trust are established), they will be clearly disclosed on the relevant pages and in this About page.
We have no certifications, audits, or third-party verifications to display — and we won't fake them. Our credibility comes from transparent methodology, honest results, and open development.
